Roadside assistance questions, answered.
How fast will roadside assistance actually arrive?
A dispatcher answers right away and the platform finds the nearest available provider with the right equipment. Arrival depends on where you are and what the roads are doing — but you see a live ETA in the Curbd app, so you are never guessing.
Do I really get a human, or is it a phone tree?
A human. Our dispatch floor is staffed around the clock, every day of the year, including holidays. There is no menu to navigate and no callback queue. The line is *-***-***-****.
What roadside services are included in a membership?
Every plan includes towing, battery jump-start and replacement, flat tire service, vehicle lockout and fuel delivery. Standard covers towing up to 5 miles and lockout up to $50; Turbo raises that to 100 miles and $100, across up to 3 vehicles.
How do I sign up for Curbd?
Curbd memberships are opened with an agent or affiliate partner — not a signup form on this site — so vehicles, drivers and documents land on file correctly the first time. Call *-***-***-**** and we will set it up. Once active, you request help in the Curbd app. Members do not have a web portal.
Is there a Curbd mobile app?
Yes — two. Curbd Assist, the member app for iOS and Android, is where you request assistance, watch the truck on a live map and keep vehicles, drivers and invoices. That app is the member experience — there is no web login for members. Partner drivers use Curbd Go to accept and work their jobs.
Where is Curbd available?
Curbd works with approved tow partners across the United States, and each partner sets the radius it covers. When you request help, dispatch looks for the nearest partner whose coverage includes your location. If none is close, a dispatcher keeps working the request — reaching out to further partners — until a truck is found.
How are tow partners checked before they reach my car?
Every tow company files proof of auto-liability and on-hook insurance, signs the Curbd service agreement and submits its tax documents, then is reviewed and approved by our team before it can receive a job. Insurance expiry dates are tracked, and each driver is verified individually before they can accept work in the driver app.
Can I rate the service I received?
Yes. When a rescue is complete the Curbd app asks you to rate the driver and tag what went well — fast, professional, careful, kept you informed. Those ratings feed partner performance, and the running totals are the figures you see on this page.
Does membership cover me or my vehicle?
Standard covers one registered vehicle and one member. Turbo covers up to 3 vehicles and 3 members — including when your family are the ones driving.
How does billing work? Can I change my plan?
Choose monthly or yearly billing at $5.99 or $7.99 a month depending on the plan. Every service is logged digitally with nothing due at the roadside for covered work, and your agent can change or cancel the membership for you.
I am stranded right now and not a member. Can you still help?
Yes. Call *-***-***-**** and we will dispatch a vetted provider at standard pay-per-use rates. You can start a membership afterward so the next time is covered.
How do tow companies join the Curbd network?
We are always adding vetted operators. Apply through the tow company portal — after insurance and document verification you start receiving dispatched jobs, and your drivers work them from the Curbd driver app.
